Annual Subscription: £35 
To ensure that all students are fully covered in the event of an accident or injury during training sessions. This fee is payable after four sessions and is non-refundable. All students receive a personal insurance certificate. Part of the Annual Subscription is also paid towards the Hotspur School of Defence's membership of the British Federation for Historical Swordplay.

LANCE AND PENNON CHAPTER
NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE

Named after the famous skirmish between Hotspur and James, Earl Douglas outside the city gates in 1388, in which Hotspur's lance-pennon was stolen and carried off into Scotland, leading to the Battle of Otterburn.
