BARON GREYSTOKE CHAPTER
MORPETH, NORTHUMBERLAND
Named after Ralph, 3rd Baron Greystoke (b.1353 d.1418), who was Lord of Morpeth at a time when the town was an important exporter of wool within the Hanseatic League.
A veteran Border warrior and ally of the Percy family. Greystoke took part in the pivotal Percy victory at Homildon Hill (1402). He was also a March Warden for the English Crown. Baron Greystoke Chapter
